Bipolar soldiers in combat, those with a history of severe depression and quite possibly on anti-depressant meds, etc, in combat environs where meds may not be availabe -- now that's a great idea...

*I started a post to reply to you meds and shooter post, but got distracted... Relevant here, coming off of/reducing dosage psych meds results in many more side effects than going on... Something like 1 in 4 folks will have serious side effects for weeks to months when coming off of psych meds.
RSRnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-33608449096667652282017-11-12T05:31:28.994-08:002017-11-12T05:31:28.994-08:00Second the suggestion for Kratman. You can dislike some of his conclusions, but he put the mission ahead of the men, and the men ahead of everything else, for the entire time he served, and had the Purple Hearts to prove it.

Other additions or changes are, I suspect, superfluous, because if you put the right people into place, they'd draw the logical conclusions, and take care of those problems without much additional supervision.

The essence of civilian oversight of the military is to tell them what you want, and let them figure out how they do that.

We've spent the last 70 years trying to tell them how to be the military, and the W/L sheet, as well as everything I wrote above, shows the utter error of violating that immutable and eternal principle.Aesophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07834464741531503378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-72153619367965277242017-11-07T14:02:36.605-08:002017-11-07T14:02:36.605-08:00Not that it really needs it, but I would add:

Any elected officials and staff on "Armed Services Committees" should also be retired or never allowed input again on how the US military should and does fight to win every war declared by Senate vote.
3. Former flag and senior officers are not allowed to lobby and/or influence those warfighters who took their jobs.
4.
