I hope they get a seat right next to the campfire in Hell for that.
3) Everybody who served was betrayed by the entity they honored with their travails.
4) I have all respect for vets, but I'm not ashamed that I didn't participate.
_revjen45Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-32046330138270045892017-11-16T07:01:02.928-08:002017-11-16T07:01:02.928-08:00You can’t let the goddamn Lollipop Guild take the ...You can’t let the goddamn Lollipop Guild take the wheel. I'm certainly NOT dismayed by your response which was a) pretty measured and b) as usual, far better than I could have done.
Your point of the vets from 1917-1991 staying home and letting the chips fall strikes home. Nearly every male in my family for three generations (the reason for the exceptions became obvious in time) served in uniform during those years usually just for the "duration". We have 50% of the current generation in uniform now; but as I wrote in an earlier comment I am by no means sanguine at the prospect that our services will be worthy of my grandson. I pray they will be but can easily project out certain trends that if unchecked would render them unworthy. I will expect and require that he "support and defend the Constitution" throughout his life but I really don't know whether our services will be in that business when he's of age.
Boat GuyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-58801952019807164582017-11-16T05:01:38.424-08:002017-11-16T05:01:38.424-08:00I had long suspected, but now I can plainly see.
