They think that they're protecting private business' rights to operate as they wish, and therefore being good little conservatives. Then I point out that FB and Twitter have dropped the label of private business in favor of the label "Neutral Public Forum" as outlined in the Communications Decency Act, effectively barring them from engaging in any type of political censorship. That's the part where the conservatives I'm talking to have their eyes glass over and robotically respond with some sort of "well, it is what it is" type of statement.

This pretty much happens every single time I hear some conservative bitching about "them liberals" and I politely remind them that the republicans currently hold literally all of the power that they could possibly ask for.

Their eyes just glass over, and they vote exactly the same way every time. The Gray Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15098168056466325559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-41358254857602100442018-09-22T10:42:44.359-07:002018-09-22T10:42:44.359-07:00You start where you are.

So I support the exec order as laid out in your post as well as any other legal actions against these “internet publisher” companies for a variety of 1st and 4th amendment violations.

My concern, as pointed out by you, is that the exec order has not yet been signed. Will it be signed? And what percentage of the folks in the justice department will actually want to carry out such action? Given how slowly things happen in Mordor on the Potomac, I am not optimistic.

The historical example of what should be done is Reagan’s action in firing every striking air traffic controller. That cleaned the department and set the tone on how things will be run moving forward. Do your job and don’t even think that f@cking around will be tolerated for 1 second.

Until that type of ZFG attitude is the standard policy there in Mordor I doubt that much will change. This baby-stepping thru all the mud there in the swamp is a waiting game the prog-thugs excel at and will win. When we see hundreds of these a$$hats standing on the sidewalk outside of all the government buildings holding a box of their personal effects waiting for an Uber, then maybe there will be hope.ascdew@protomail.comnoreply@blogger.com
